For this summer celebration, I opted for a vibrant and cheerful table design that combines soft coral, shades of blue, and natural wicker. A Striking Festive Party Table Centerpiece
Choose a centerpiece. The eye-catching one at the center of the table features three tall glass vases filled with coral silk ranunculus. First, these vases and flowers are tall enough to tower out of the way for conversation. That should be a consideration for your table. Keep the flowers out of guests’ line of sight, or consider moving them when you are ready to dine. You can accomplish the same look with bud vases and long-stemmed flowers. There are no special skills needed to assemble them, and you don’t need a large flower budget either.
To enhance the festive look of these plain glass vases, dress them up in colors to match the overall table. An easy, inexpensive, and quick way to enhance them is to tie ribbons of varying widths around them. Choose colors that match the tablecloth or theme colors. Additionally, the center vase stands out with a silver beaded napkin ring, held in place by ribbons. Reminiscent of fireworks, this napkin ring adds a touch of sparkle as well as uniqueness and creativity. Think about what you already have that might add a dash of creativity to your table decor.
Surrounding the tall vases, smaller vases filled with hydrangeas add a splash of blue that beautifully complements the darker shades of blue in the tablecloth. Again, stay with your selected color scheme. Use complementary shades, but avoid introducing a new color, or the table might feel chaotic.

To enhance the aesthetic, coral-colored napkins are cinched with silver beaded napkin rings resembling fireworks, echoing the festive theme. The napkins contrast with the blue, adding a splash of color that coordinates with the flowers. The napkin rings are neutral, adding texture rather than color.
Remember that casual white dinnerware nearly always works with any festive table you set. Its neutrality means it won’t introduce a new color or compete with the color theme.
The Finishing Touches for the Festive Party Table
Flatware and Glassware
No table setting is complete without the right utensils; therefore, I opted for bamboo flatware, which adds an organic touch and complements the woven elements of the placemats and lamp shades. Additionally, the white raffia-wrapped glassware brings a neutral, yet complementary charm to the table.
Place Cards
To further personalize the table settings for each guest, consider creating custom place cards. These cards have a “ribbon” design in colors that match the ribbons tied around the lamps. This design repeats an element already on the table and also ties in with the stripes on the dinnerware.

Finally, to add a bit of texture and additional color, round napkin rings wrapped in ribbon were scattered across the table to finish the look. These hand-wrapped rings helped fill in empty spots on the table without adding clutter.
