Faux flowers are also an option, as many artificial flowers are almost indistinguishable from their live counterparts.

Check the flowers to ensure all the ants are removed, brushing off any that may still be clinging to them. When cutting peonies, leave the stems long to make it easier to handle them in the water bucket.
