Easy to Make Melon-Infused Vodka

Two Ingredients for Melon-Infused Vodka
This recipe requires just two ingredients to create delicious watermelon-flavored vodka: watermelon and plain vodka. To achieve the best results, it’s essential to always use a good-quality vodka. However, this recipe will not use an entire bottle, so plenty will be left for other purposes. In addition, you can use other melons, such as cantaloupe or honeydew, to make melon-flavored vodka.

Use a Mason Jar for Melon-Infused Vodka
Making watermelon-flavored vodka is an easy task that’s perfect for summer gatherings. To begin, select a ripe, sweet watermelon and cut it into small cubes. Next, place the cubes in a clean, airtight jar, such as a Mason jar or another canning jar. Keep in mind that the jar size depends on how much vodka you want to infuse. For larger gatherings, use big glass jars if you need a substantial amount of flavored vodka. Conversely, if you only require a small amount, a pint or smaller jar will suffice.
After preparing the jar, pour a good-quality vodka over the watermelon, filling it to the threads on the lid. Although the melon will float, it’s perfectly fine because the lid will hold it submerged in the vodka.

Wait Seven Days
First, add the lid to the jar and seal it tightly. Then, place it in the refrigerator. Every couple of days, give it a gentle shake to mix the flavors. After seven days in the fridge, remove the melon. Next, strain it through cheesecloth, a coffee filter, or a fine-mesh sieve to remove any remaining melon bits. Finally, enjoy!
