This is probably the easiest recipe I have in my favorite recipes’ collection! These turtles only take five minutes to put together and three minutes to melt in the oven. Also, if you place the pretzels on a baking sheet with parchment paper, there is no cleanup! Just throw away the parchment sheet when finished and put away the baking sheet because there is no washing required either!

Place the chocolate caramel Rolos in the center of the pretzels. You can use gluten-free pretzels or regular pretzels for this recipe – both work and are tasty.
Unwrapping the Rolos is the most time-consuming task in this recipe. The bag size the recipe calls for has 50 Rolos in it. I say to use only 36, which leaves some for eating while you unwrap them from their foil. Of course, you can use all the Rolos for this turtle recipe. They are that good!

Bake for three minutes. The chocolate caramel Rolos will be soft and starting to melt but will still hold their shape.

Place pecans halves on top of the Rolos and press then down to flatten the candy. Refrigerate to cool them which helps to ensure that the candies don’t leave chocolate on the parchment or your fingers.

I like to make these for special occasions but have a college-aged relative who loves them anytime, so I found that they are great for sending to college students in care packages. And honestly, I have to get them out of the house after making them because they are impossibly hard to resist!

- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet.
- Place 36 pretzels in rows on the baking sheet. Unwrap 36 Rolos and place one on each pretzel. You will have a few Rolos left over.
- Place in the oven for 3 minutes or until the Rolos are starting to melt. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and place a pecan on a Rolo and press down to flatten the Rolo. If the candy will not flatten, place the pan back in the oven for another minute or two.
- Continue placing pecans and pressing to flatten the candy until all are finished. Let cool. For quick cooling, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
