Grapefruit Vinaigrette Dressing

Use Freshly-Squeezed Grapefruit Juice

When making this vinaigrette, using freshly squeezed grapefruit juice can provide an unbeatable freshness that bottled juices sometimes lack. However, opt for a brand like Simply Grapefruit if you prefer convenience or find yourself with leftover juice from other recipes. Fresh juice not only enhances the flavor but also allows you to control the quantity you make, ensuring you won’t have excess on hand if you’re not fond of drinking grapefruit juice on its own.

Citrus Marmalade in Grapefruit Vinaigrette Dressing

A three-citrus marmalade makes this vinaigrette truly special. Specifically, this type of marmalade, which includes lemons, oranges, and grapefruits, imparts a delightful sweetness to the tangy dressing. If you’re looking for alternatives, grapefruit marmalade works just as well, although it may be harder to find. A recommended option is the pink grapefruit marmalade from Stonewall Kitchen, which adds a lovely flavor profile to your vinaigrette.

Ideal for Meal Prep

One of the best features of this grapefruit vinaigrette is that it can be made ahead of time. You can whip it up a day or two in advance and simply store it in the refrigerator. To serve, allow it to sit out for about 30 minutes to an hour, which helps the olive oil return to a liquid state. Then, a quick shake or re-blend before using ensures all the ingredients are well-mixed.
