Ingredients for Lime Sherbet Punch
To make this refreshing punch, you’ll need a few simple ingredients.
Lime Sherbet: This creamy, tart sherbet adds a delightful tang to the punch. You can substitute other sherbet flavors in its place.
Ginger Ale: Adds a bubbly, refreshing base. You can substitute lemon-lime soda or sparkling water for a less sweet option.
Pineapple Juice: Adds a sweet tropical twist that balances the tartness of lime.
Lime Vodka or Coconut Rum: (optional) Make a cocktail punch by adding flavored vodka or rum.
Lime Slices and Mint Leaves: (optional) Use them for garnish. Float other sliced citrus fruits and extra scoops of sherbet on the punch for a festive look.
Red Maraschino Cherries: (optional) Make a Grinch-inspired punch by adding red cherries to the punch bowl or to each glass.
Tips for Lime Sherbet Punch
- Set the sherbet out of the freezer for 15-20 minutes to soften it so it is easier to mix with the other ingredients.
- Make the punch just before you plan to serve it. It is best served freshly made.
- Use a large punch bowl and a ladle to serve because this recipe makes a lot of punch.
- Add vodka or rum to each cup of punch to keep the punch bowl a mocktail for guests who do not prefer alcohol.
- Freeze pineapple juice or ginger ale into ice cubes and add to the punch to keep it cold. These ice cubes will not water down your punch.
