To make this refreshing punch, you’ll need a few simple ingredients.

Lime Sherbet: This creamy, tart sherbet adds a delightful tang to the punch. You can substitute other sherbet flavors in its place.

Ginger Ale: Adds a bubbly, refreshing base. You can substitute lemon-lime soda or sparkling water for a less sweet option.

Pineapple Juice: Adds a sweet tropical twist that balances the tartness of lime.

Lime Vodka or Coconut Rum: (optional) Make a cocktail punch by adding flavored vodka or rum.

Lime Slices and Mint Leaves: (optional) Use them for garnish. Float other sliced citrus fruits and extra scoops of sherbet on the punch for a festive look.

Tips for Lime Sherbet Punch

  1. Set the sherbet out of the freezer for 15-20 minutes to soften it so it is easier to mix with the other ingredients.
  2. Make the punch just before you plan to serve it. It is best served freshly made.
  3. Use a large punch bowl and a ladle to serve because this recipe makes a lot of punch.
  4. Add vodka or rum to each cup of punch to keep the punch bowl a mocktail for guests who do not prefer alcohol.
  5. Freeze pineapple juice or ginger ale into ice cubes and add to the punch to keep it cold. These ice cubes will not water down your punch.
