Preparation Steps

The preparation process is straightforward and quick. Start by brushing the inside of phyllo shells with melted butter to add that tasty richness. Then, add a generous dollop of sour cherry jam, followed by ample pieces of cheddar cheese on top to balance the sweetness of the jam. Use mild or sharp cheese, depending on your taste preference. Also, feel free to substitute other jams for sour cherry. Ideas include strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry.

Can You Use cherry pie filling in place of jam for this recipe? I recommend using jam instead of pie filling, as jam has a thicker consistency.
