The beauty of a red, white & blue tablescape is perfect for occasions when you want the table decor to take center stage. Let this simple table inspire you to create a beautiful red, white, and blue tablescape for patriotic or other celebrations.
Versatile Red, White, and Blue
I never get tired of red, white, and blue. These colors are always vibrant, eye-catching, and so versatile! It is beautiful for patriotic celebrations, military events, summer occasions, and even weddings.

Add Flags to the Center Arrangement
Although this tablescape has patriotic colors, there are no kitschy items to signify patriotic decor. However, add flags to the floral arrangement in the center to create a patriotic table.

Use Ribbon to Divide the Place Settings
Red ribbons divide the place settings on this round table, adding extra detail. Place a center arrangement on top of the overlapping decorative ribbons to hold them in place. You could use ribbons with American or British Flags in place of stars. You can also consider using patriotic ribbon to tie around napkins in place of napkin rings.

The Beauty of Red, White & Blue Floral Centerpiece
The centerpiece arrangement is arranged with cut items from outdoors and purchased roses. I used hydrangeas, Queen Anne’s lace, and greenery cut from various shrubs. Always consider cutting flowers from your garden when they are in season, as they will be fresher than store-bought flowers. However, submerge them in a bucket of water before using them to help rid them of insects. Leave hydrangeas submerged for about 30 minutes to hydrate them, and they will not wilt as quickly.

The Beauty of Red, White & Blue Table Versus Patriotic Stars Table
This table setting is more versatile for occasions other than patriotic ones since it does not have patriotic symbols such as flags. Also, at the end of this post, I give links to my other red, white, and blue tables. I hope it gives you some ideas!

Dinnerware and Silverware for The Beauty of Red, White & Blue Table
The blue-and-white dinner plates are Modello and made by Vietri. They have a rustic, hand-made look and look pretty with different table settings. The vintage white bowls have fluted sides with the same markings as the dinner plates. The silverware is vintage and works for many table settings. Be aware that flatware with red handles may not be visible when paired with red placemats.

Red Glassware
The red glassware is from Vietri but is no longer made. However, click here to link to another red Vietri glass similar to this one.

Lay Placemats Longways
If you have a small table or extra guests, you might find yourself short on space. However, a great way to utilize placemats in these situations is to position them lengthwise at each place setting, allowing them to hang off the edge of the table. This method not only accommodates your dinnerware but also adds a charming touch with a pretty “tail.” By doing this, you can save table space and easily squeeze in extra guests.
