Orange and Black Not-So-Scary Halloween Table

Set a special table for Halloween using a not-so-scary orange and black theme.  If you like the fun side of Halloween and not the frightening, try setting a table with cute decorations.

This table uses wall party fans (found here) for the centerpiece and hanging flag and jack ‘o lantern banners all with a vintage look.  A black and white table throw is a good backdrop. This one is not available anymore but click here for a similar one.

The jack o’ lanterns are for the young at heart.

Punch confetti circles out of cardstock and scatter across the table.  They can also be found at craft stores and here.

Hanging banners can be found here for stringing over the table or other prominent locations.

Use miniature velvet pumpkins or real mini pumpkins to hang place setting names.

Black goblets are a fun way to drink beverages.

Theme napkins found here also provide a vintage look.

Orange paper plates can be substituted for stoneware plates.  A muted orange-colored paper plate says vintage, while a bright orange plate says modern. Copper flatware found here or black flatware like I used in the Light up the Table with Limelights post works well with the orange and black look.  However, silver flatware works well too. If you don’t have something, always use what you have to add your own special touch!

A sweet candy-corn-inspired treat with fruit can replace Halloween candy.  Click here to see how simple this dessert is to make.

For those with a sweet tooth, a container of pumpkin spice chocolates is a rich treat to end the meal.
