15phyllochocolate shells(This recipe was made with Athens Chocolate Flavor Phyllo Shells, 15 to a box)
3tablespoonspeanut butter
3tablespoonsmilk
1cupnon-dairy whipped topping(Cool Whip used for this recipe)
Chocolate Garnish
⅓cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Directions for Peanut Butter Fluff Shells
Remove chocolate phyllo shells from the box and set aside.
In a small mixing bowl, add the peanut butter and milk. Stir or whisk until well blended. Fold in the whipped topping until well blended. Spoon into the chocolate shells.
Directions for Chocolate Garnish
Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet.
In a microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate and heat for 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until melted. Use the chocolate to create decorations for the peanut butter bites. For example, spoon the chocolate into a piping bag and write or draw decorations such as numbers or words onto the parchment paper. You can use the paintbrush to brush chocolate onto the parchment paper, or use a spoon to wipe streaks of chocolate onto the paper.
Once the garnish decorations are made, place the cookie sheet in the freezer or refrigerator for 30 minutes to harden the chocolate. Then, carefully pull the chocolate garnish from the parchment paper and add to the peanut butter bites.
Notes
Phyllo Shells
You can substitute regular non-chocolate phyllo shells in this recipe.
If frozen, you do not have to thaw the shells.
If you prefer crunchier shells, bake them in a 350-degree F oven for 3-5 minutes, and then let them cool to room temperature before adding the filling.
