Notes

Make a Pineapple Bowl

To create a pineapple bowl, place the knife on the side of the green crown and cut the pineapple in half. The green crown is difficult to cut through, so proceed cautiously.
Once your pineapple is cut in half, cut around the inside edge of the yellow flesh to separate it from the sides of the pineapple. Then, make horizontal cuts in rows, followed by vertical ones. Use a spoon to scoop out the pineapple. Finally, cut the cubes smaller and remove the core that runs down the center of the pineapple.
TIP: Instead of cutting the pineapple into even halves, offset the cut to create a larger bowl that holds more salsa. The advantage of offset cutting is that it keeps the crown intact, which means you don't have to cut through it.
