  • 1 loaf French bread, cut into (16) 1-inch slices
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • (1) 8-ounce block mild cheddar cheese, cut into thin slices

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to broil. Brush the bread heavily with maple syrup. Top with a thin slice of cheddar cheese.
  • Place the bread on a baking sheet. Broil for 2-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve immediately.
