Equipment

  • 6 molds for frozen popsicles
  • 6 wooden ice cream sticks (optional--instead use the sticks that come with the molds)
  • plastic wrap (optional if you use the sticks that come with the molds)

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh ripe peaches, peel removed
  • 15 fresh sweet cherries
  • 12 ounces Welch's Sparkling White Grape Juice Cocktail (or white grape juice)

Instructions

  • Cut peaches into thin, small slices.
  • Remove the pits and cut the cherries into thin slices.
  • Alternating the fruit, loosely pack it into the molds.
  • Fill molds with the sparkling grape juice, stopping about 1/4 inch from the top to leave room for expansion.
  • Place a sheet of plastic wrap over the top of the molds and seal tightly by pressing to the sides. Plastic wrap should be taut. Use a sharp paring knife to make a small slit in the middle of the plastic for each mold. Insert a wooden stick in the plastic hole, wedging it between the fruit slices so they are centered and straight.
  • Freeze overnight.
