Crush Oreos, including the filling, with an electric chopper, or place them in a zippered plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Pour the melted butter over the crumbs and mix until well blended. Place the crumbs into a 9-inch pie dish and tamp down to make a crust on the bottom and sides of the dish.
Place the prepared crust into the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes while you prepare the pie filling.
Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sugar and beat on medium speed until smooth. Add the lime zest and mix. Then, add the sweetened condensed milk and lime juice. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, beat the cream until soft peaks form.
Fold the whipped cream into the lime mixture and continue folding until smooth.
Remove the crust from the freezer and pour in the lime mixture.
Place the pie in the freezer for at least 4 hours or overnight to freeze. Thaw for 10 minutes before serving to make cutting easier.
Notes
Crust Substitution
You can substitute a store-bought chocolate crumb crust for the homemade Oreo crust. It will not need freezing before use.
