Bacon Cheese Cups

Cream cheese bacon bites are easy and quick to make using ready-made phyllo cups.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, finely shredded (plus more for garnish)
  • 4 green onions, minced (plus 1 more for garnish)
  • 30 phyllo shells (Athens brand used with 15 shells per box)
  • 8 slices bacon, finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and green onions. Using a whisk, mix well until the cream cheese is creamy.
  • Place the phyllo cups on a baking sheet and fill with the cheese mixture. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the bacon over the cups. Garnish with a little cheddar cheese and green onion. Serve immediately.

Chopping Bacon

You can quickly chop bacon very finely by putting it in a food chopper.
