You won’t believe that these apple dumplings are so easy to make and taste as though you went to a lot of trouble when they are no trouble at all! Below are pictures to show you how to cut the dough to wrap the apple pieces.
You will need 2 apples and 2 premade pie crusts. Cut each crust into 5 pie-shaped slices. Peel and cut the apples into at least 15 pieces each, although more slices are okay too.
Place 3 apple slices on each dough triangle.
Roll the pointed side of the dough over the apples.
Fold over the sides.
Completely seal the dough. Use a little water to wet the dough if it cracks.
When you finish wrapping all the apples in the dough, you will have 10 dumplings. Place them all in a pan sprayed with cooking spray.
Mix the butter with the rest of the ingredients (except the lemon-lime soda) and pour over the dumplings.
Add the lemon-lime soda around the edges of the pan, being very careful not to pour any on top of the dumplings.
Bake.
Eat and enjoy!
