Kuhl-Linscomb Part One

A Unique Shopping Experience

For an exciting shopping experience in Houston, Texas, visit Kuhl-Linscomb and you won’t be disappointed! The reserved exterior of this storefront doesn’t give a hint of the treasures you’ll find inside. Occupying several buildings, (yes buildings) this store covers two city blocks! It has men’s, women’s, and children’s shops, as well as housewares, furniture, linens, tabletop, garden and floral, home fragrance, beauty and wellness, personal fragrance, and a few other things. There is so much inventory that it might take months of shopping to see everything under these roofs!

Many High-End Items in One Location

But the best part of this store is that the merchandise they sell is unique, high quality, and has varying price points. This independent business displays its goods on vintage fixtures which makes everything just that much more charming. And did I say that more is definitely more at this store? Whew! I could spend a lot of time at Kuhl-Linscomb but I focused on home goods during this visit.

Arte Italica glasses and plates are displayed on a vintage fixture.

I have always loved Arte Italica’s Vetro Gold and Silver glasses (above) even though I don’t have either. But one day…

This beautifully etched cake dome and stand by William Yeoward has graceful ferns on the tall dome. With a price tag of $1250.00, this would never be used at my house!

This beautiful glass punchbowl and ladle caught my eye right away.

If you like more casual drinkware, these pink and green Mosser glasses, pitchers, and cake stands are eye-catching!

They have a large selection of Laura Zindel dinnerware. Aren’t the red glasses striking against this platter?

I love this hedgehog bowl but couldn’t decide between it and…

…these striking fish platters.

I also loved the Crow Canyon Home enamelware in gray and white. This beverage dispenser with ladle says fall party!

This bowl and large basin could serve a crowd!

The black and white enamelware and orange and white plates are perfect for Halloween festivities.

Sertodo Copper hammered Moscow Mugs are eye-catching when stacked together.

Rose Ann Hall etched drinkware is beautiful and sturdy. Made in Mexico from recycled glass, this company employs artisans to make their products. Many of the artisans have disabilities and Rose Ann Hall gives them an opportunity to use their talents – which makes this glassware a good investment.

These pink sparkle candleholders are perfect for baby showers, wedding tables, and holiday celebrations. And for pink lovers, they are perfect at any time!

So many teak spreaders! I’ll take a handful.

Kuhl-Linscomb carries dozens of high-end china patterns such as this one by Bernardaud. How could you ever choose just one beautiful pattern?

And last but not least, one of my favorites, Gien dinnerware. This French dinnerware has so many beautiful patterns and this Sologne nature pattern is gorgeous with all the gold and brown velvet pumpkins. I’ll take this whole display, please!

If all this fine china is too much for your wallet, then no worries because you will find a huge selection of paper plates and napkins. They have so many Meri Meri paper products that you can be assured to find something for any occasion, as well as a large selection of Rifle Paper Company products.

If visiting Houston, make a trip to visit Kuhl-Linscomb. Located at West Alabama Street and Argonne Street, this is an independent store and a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Next time, I’ll show you the linen shop and the furry friend who makes himself at home on the countertop!
