Supplies
I used black 20-inch napkins (approximately 51 centimeters) because they have a larger working surface and the finished shape will fit nicely across a dinner plate. Each bat uses one napkin. Optional: self-adhesive crystal rhinestones for eyes.

Step 1 Bat Napkins
Iron or use your hands to smooth the napkins to remove any stubborn wrinkles. A few wrinkles are ok as you can see from the one below!

Step 2 Bat Napkins
Fold the napkin diagonally to form a triangle.

Step 3 Bat Napkins
Fold the napkin again to make a smaller triangle.

Step 4 Bat Napkins
Fold up the pointed bottom so that 2 or 3 inches (5-7.5 centimeters) extend past the long flat side of the napkin.

Step 5 Bat Napkins
Turn under about 1 1/2 inches (3.8 centimeters) of the point.

Step 6 Bat Napkins
Place a finger on the bottom middle of the napkin. Fold up a wing on the left side.

Step 7 Bat Napkins
Fold up a wing on the right side. Smooth the wings so they lie flat.

Step 8 Bat Napkins
Using your finger, press slightly downward and pull out to make a small indention in the middle of the “head.”
